Password Reset generates a new password once identity is confirmed through one of two methods:
- Email Confirmation – Users enter their account name and email address and receive an email confirmation
- Security Questions – Users answer predefined security questions (AD only)

- Active Directory Services, NT Directory Services and SQL Membership support
- Accounts can be black-listed to prevent their passwords from being reset
- Accounts can be blacklisted to prevent their passwords from being reset
