List Bulk Import from Bamboo Solutions allows users to migrate data, documents, and pictures into SharePoint from legacy databases, spreadsheets, local/network file shares, and, finally, Lists and Libraries from SharePoint 2007, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, or SharePoint Online (part of Microsoft’s Office 365 online hosting solution for all four current SharePoint platforms: 2007, 2010, 2013, and SharePoint Online).
As part three of our series, this article will show you how to import the Survey list type.
With previous versions of List Bulk Import, users were unable to import data from Survey list types, but being able to do so now is just one more example of the many enhancements in version 3.0.
When connecting to a site using previous versions of List Bulk Import, users wouldn’t see the Survey list type in the combo box. This was a known product limitation:
Now with Bulk Import 3.0, users can easily import data from Survey list types, as expected:
In this article, I will show you how to import data from a Survey list.
First, input information for the target site:
Input data for the Source site:
Select the Survey list type on the Source site:
On the Target site, you can select a target list or create a new list for the Survey list:
Map the columns:
Map the values:
Click the Import button:
After successfully importing, go to the target list to see the data:
