Well, trade shows are a younger man’s game for sure! Having just returned from SPTechCon 2019 in Austin TX, I am amazed at the reaction to one of our products from the attendees. Look, we had all our products in the booth – We had Cloud Parts and Web Parts and Service offerings – but one product stopped everyone in their tracks. One product had everyone saying, “Oh, I need that!” or “I was trying to do just what that product does!” What is this product you ask? It’s our new Parent-Child Cloud Part(r).
This innovative product debuted at the show and everyone wanted to see how it worked. Our standard intro was simple, “This product will turn your lists into a Relational Database application.” The product should be the basis for everyone building solutions on SharePoint 2013, 16, 19, and Office 365. Imagine being able to take your lists of data and create parent-child “relationships” between them. This allows the user to navigate between lists in a drill-down fashion. Now you can quickly and easily relate a customer list to an orders list or a parts list to a service ticket list or anything to anything to anything!
The navigation is so intuitive that once the relationships are made, users can navigate through the data to find the information they need. Are you wanting to show only specific data from a list in the parent-child system? No problem! Just create a view called parent-child and the product will default to that view of the list! Also, we don’t move your data either – just point Parent-Child to your existing list information, create the entity relationships, and off you go – it is that powerful.
