Challenge

As you know, Data Viewer allows the user to select all list types to show data. One may not understand why the Data-Viewer Web Part shows an error when selecting Bamboo List Rollup data source. We realized that this issue happens when we get data from a Share Document or Wiki Document.  In this post, I’ll show you how to reproduce this issue and resolve it.

How to configure HW24 Bamboo List Rollup Schema Designer

Step 1: To begin, let’s install HW24 Bamboo List Rollup onto your server, and add Bamboo List Rollup Schema Designer to the site.

Configure HW24-List Rollup then select Bamboo Aggregation Service.

Step 2: Click the Include List in Rollup button and select either Share Document List or Wiki Document.

Step 3: Go to Select Columns. In the Select Template List drop drown, choose either Share Document or Wiki Document, then click Save.

How to configure HW37 Data-Viewer Web Part

Step 1: Edit the Data-Viewer Tool pane. Select Bamboo List Rollup data source. In the List Rollup Schema section, select either Share Document List or Wiki Document. Under Column Display Settings, select column names. Click Save in the tool pane.

Go to the Data-Viewer Web Part; you will see the error.

Resolution

Install the build with version: 30.6.94; this action fixes the issue. Don’t forget to press F5 to clear the cache.
