Data-Viewer Web Part 3.6 User’s Guide, Part 5: How to Group, Sort, and Filter List Rollup Data

Here in part five, we will show you some different things you can do with List Rollup data in Data-Viewer Web Part such as grouping, sorting, and filtering.

To help celebrate the release of Data-Viewer Web Part version 3.6, we have put together a brand-new 8-part series that will walk you through how to use the product’s newest and most popular features. Let us show you some different things you can do with List Rollup data in the Data-Viewer Web part such as Grouping, Sorting, and Filtering utilizing the following criteria:

  • Calculate
  • Date & Time
  • Hyperlink or Picture
  • Number
  • Yes/No
  • List Rollup special columns: List Name and Site Name

To begin, go to the tool pane. From the available data sources, select Bamboo List Rollup:

Next, for List Rollup Type, select the List Rollup Schema radio button:

Under Select, a List Rollup Schema to Display, select the list which you would like to see displayed. For this example, we are using the list, Bamboo Products:

Next, go to General Settings and select the following checkboxes: Allow filtering, Allow grouping, and Allow sorting:

You are now able to group, sort, and filter your List Rollup data in a number of different manners. Below are some different examples of the different ways in which you can interact with your data in the Data-Viewer Web Part:
