ESTON, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Bamboo Solutions Corporation (Bamboo) today announced Armand Brunelle of Castle Pines Capital as the Bamboo SharePoint Revolution Contest winner for the most useful Web Part idea. Armand and his company will receive fully-paid license compliments of Bamboo when the product is released as the Chart Plus Revolution Pack next month. The SharePoint Revolution Contest was Bamboo’s theme at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2008 in Seattle and received hundreds of Web Part ideas from entrants worldwide. Bamboo narrowed over 200 entries to five finalists based on community voting. The five finalists were then voted on by the Bamboo user community to select the overall winner.

Bamboo Solutions will develop the resulting product, the Chart Plus Revolution Pack, over a six-week time period. The product allows a single chart to be created from multiple data sources. The Chart Plus Revolution Pack will be available at Bamboo’s online store: bamboosolutions.com. Bamboo is permanently adding a Web Part idea submission page and accompanying rating system to the company’s website so that everyone can submit new ideas, rating them on a 1-5 ranking scale for Bamboo’s new product consideration.

“We are thrilled with the creative ideas, enthusiasm, and demonstrated participation from the SharePoint community,” said Michael Tanner, CEO of Bamboo Solutions Corporation. “Our Revolution contest playfully demonstrates our commitment to building products that our customers can use to enhance SharePoint.”

The other four Web Part finalists included: Chris Whitaker, IT Manager of AHTNA Government Services Corporation with Report Generator for List Rollup, Coco Kalinowski, IT Project Coordinator at Stark Investments with Stock Ticker, Larry Loh, IT Administrator for Los Angeles County with Video Clip and Mads Lundberg, Product Area Manager for Portal Platforms at Inter-Ikea with Meeting Room and Event Booking.
