Announcing the Release of List Bulk Import and Tree View Web Part for SharePoint 2013

Knowledge, data, and information are core to organizations just as they are to each of us. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve searched through my mailbox, my laptop’s file directories, and our SharePoint portal to find a particular piece of information that was shared by one of my colleagues. You might also have files that are stored on a shared network drive, a database, or a legacy system that you need to migrate to SharePoint, either on-premises or to your new SharePoint Online site. It’s all part of the collaboration and sharing of knowledge. Furthermore, for some of us, our organizations also don’t just want data, but further, require the data to be organized in a certain structure for findability.

With this in mind, I am pleased to announce the availability of two additional tools which we released for SharePoint 2013 today:

List Bulk Import – This tool allows users to import data where the data source could be Microsoft Excel, text file, CSV, from a local or shared network drive, or from SharePoint 2007, 2010, 2013, or SharePoint Online. As well, the target location could be SharePoint 2007, 2010, 2013, or SharePoint Online. The import jobs can be scheduled.

Tree View Web Part – This tool allows users to organize their list, document library, picture library, Wiki library,  and Discussion Board in a tree view.

Since List Bulk Import is a client application, it is not available in our sandbox. However, you can take a look at the Tree View Web Part for free in our sandbox (even if you don’t already have a SharePoint 2013 environment of your own).
