Breakthrough application enables non-developers to automate everyday business processes with Microsoft SharePoint
Bamboo Solutions, the leading provider of technologies that enhance Microsoft SharePoint, announced today the availability of Workflow Conductor™, a new application suite designed to enable business process automation. Workflow Conductor augments Bamboo’s extensive portfolio of add-ons and companion tools for Microsoft SharePoint. With Workflow Conductor, Bamboo is challenging traditional barriers to broader adoption of business process automation, including ease of use, cost of ownership, and integration with existing IT infrastructure.
Workflow Conductor is optimized for business users such as program managers, project managers, and other information workers across the enterprise. Workflow Conductor features an easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface that enables automation of everyday business processes without coding or IT intervention.
“Bamboo is an interesting new player in the workflow space,” comments David Mann, author of Workflow in the 2007 Microsoft Office System. “Competition can only bring good things to this part of the SharePoint ecosystem. I am following the development of Workflow Conductor closely. Assuming Bamboo leverages their existing portfolio of SharePoint Web Parts, they have an opportunity to challenge some of the traditional leaders in this space.”
Bamboo seeks to make business process automation through SharePoint easier and more affordable for the small to medium enterprise, where cost of ownership has been a barrier to adoption. Priced at only $4,500 per server, including annual support, Workflow Conductor provides an innovative feature set at a fraction of the cost of other workflow solutions.
Workflow Conductor is built on Microsoft’s Windows Workflow Foundation, ensuring long-term compatibility with key Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, Microsoft Office®, and the .NET platform. Workflow Conductor will leverage Microsoft’s ongoing investments in Windows Workflow Foundation to provide new features and capabilities in future versions.
“Our vision for Workflow Conductor includes interoperability with both local systems and hosted instances of SharePoint, including SharePoint Online, and cloud-based environments built on platforms like Microsoft Azure™,” says Mike Tanner, CEO of Bamboo Solutions. “Workflow Conductor will leverage our existing portfolio of products and our upcoming line of Cloud PartsTM, to automate business processes that extend beyond the firewall.”
Workflow Conductor is available now for download, trial, and purchase on the Bamboo Website. An optional premium support package is also available.
