Bamboo Cares is at it again. As an official drop-off site for Toys for Tots, Bamboo is excited to donate – and collect – toys for local children.

For the past 67 years, the U.S. Marine Corps has organized Toys for Tots, donating more than 469 million toys. The program collects new toys for underprivileged children in the community from October to December each year. Donors then drop off toys in collection boxes at designated locations. Once the collection ends, the toys are taken to central warehouses, where they’re sorted by age and gender. Toys for Tots coordinators then work with local agencies, organizations, and churches to distribute the toys to children.

New and unwrapped toys are needed for infants through age 12. Toys are especially needed for older children. To donate toys, you can locate a drop-off in your area. And if you’re in the Reston, VA area, feel free to stop by Bamboo’s headquarters this week during business hours to drop off toys. Our collection ends on December 19 at noon. Happy Holidays!
