This Week in Bamboo (October 16th, 2011 – October 22nd, 2011)

This week in Bamboo, we’re so excited to launch a major new product: Community Central (SA15 Release 1.0) for SharePoint 2010. What is Community Central? How does it work? Please see the release announcement blog post our Product Manager for details.  And check out our storefront for the 30-day free trial download.  At the same time, we resolved some bugs and released the patches for User Directory, Calendar Plus, SharePoint Navigators, Bamboo Rating Column, Site Creation Plus, Discussion Board Plus, List Search Simple, List Rotator, List Rollup and Cross-Site Display Web Part.  For more information about bug fixes, known issues and limitations please see the list below.          

SA15 Community Central for SharePoint 2010, Release 1.0

Initial release

Known Issues:

• Searches may incorrectly show a page in the search results if search terms are included in text that is not visible on the page.
• The Community Central Home site template cannot be used to create a new site collection.

Limitations:

• The Lock Topic and Mark as Sticky options are not available in the ribbon if a Discussion Board Plus list is added to a Web Part Page. The options are available in the Edit Control Block (ECB) menu.
• The view count for a topic is displayed incorrectly if Content Approval is enabled for the Discussion Board Plus list.

HW08 User Directory Web Part for SharePoint 2007 (1.7.18) and SharePoint 2010 (1.7.28)

Resolved Customer-Reported Bugs and Known Issues/Limitations:

• Department field shows the Country field value instead of the Default Values when changing a SingleLineText field (such as Department) to SingleChoice.
• Web Part fails to find a match name when the Full Name of an AD account is entered in the Report To field.
• Customer receives the error: “SetPaneSplitterUserDirectory: TypeError: ‘length’ is null or not an object” after installing the June/August Cummulative Update for SharePoint 2010.
• Customer receives the error: “Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfileManager..ctor (Microsoft.Office.Server.ServerContext)” when configuring the web part settings.

HW20 Calendar Plus Web Part for SharePoint 2007 (4.1.73) and SharePoint 2010 (4.1.71)

Resolved Customer-Reported Bugs and Known Issues/Limitations:

• The Web Part is unable to integrate with the out-of-the-box filter Web Part of SharePoint.
• The Web Part only displays the Start date for an event when the Expected End Date time is set to 12AM, with the interval set to start and end date.
• Calendar Plus Gantt view does not automatically resize to fit the Web Part and does not display scroll bars.

HW55 SharePoint Navigators for SharePoint 2007 (1.3.18) and SharePoint 2010 (1.3.27)

• When attempting to open a document from the list of search results, the following error is shown: “This item is no longer available. It may have been deleted another user. Click “Ok” to refresh the page.”

HW21 List Rotator Web Part for SharePoint 2007 (2.5.51) and SharePoint 2010 (2.5.70)

Resolved Customer-Reported Bugs and Known Issues/Limitations:

• The List Rotator Web Part randomly shows an unnecessary scroll bar.

HW24 List Rollup Web Part for SharePoint 2007 (5.0.146) and SharePoint 2010 (5.0.161)

Resolved Customer-Reported Bugs and Known Issues/Limitations:

• List rollup will not export data from columns whose names contain parentheses.
• Calculated columns for date result in incorrect dates displayed in List Rollup Preview or Grid View.

HW63 Cross-Site Display Web Part for SharePoint 2010 (1.1.35)

Resolved Customer-Reported Bugs and Known Issues/Limitations:

• The Web Part does not display scroll bars if the content of the web part exceeds the fixed height and width set in the “Edit Web Part > Appearance” settings menu.
• When used on a Publishing site, the Cross-Site Display Web Part Settings window is blank.
• Internal bug fixes to support SA15 Community Central.
