This Week in Bamboo (July 3rd, 2016

At Bamboo, a new set of SharePoint 2016 products was released to the store: Workflow Conductor, Virtual Map View Web Part, and Custom Identifier Column. Patch for Data-Viewer Web Part was also released at the same time. For a list of bug fixes and new releases, please see below.

SA08 Workflow Conductor for SharePoint 2016 Release 4.0.3.2016 (File version 40.0.3.2016)

Initial Release on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016

• This build runs on SharePoint Server 2016. This release contains the same functionality as the equivalent version number of the SharePoint 2013 build of this product.
• See the Known Issues and Limitations section for the latest known issues and limitations related to this release. For information about using this product, read the Online Documentation.

Known Issues:

•    Installer occasionally fails to run the Upgrade/Repair option, displaying the following error message: “The solution does not have a WSP file associated with it.” Workaround: Reset the IIS/SharePoint Timer service, then use the Remove All option and install it again.
•    During installation, the Web Part file will occasionally fail to deploy. Workaround: Reset the IIS/SharePoint Timer service, then use the Remove All option and install it again.
•    Accessing the Workflow Conductor Studio may display a ‘sorry, something went wrong’ error due to the product resources files not being deployed to all Web Front End servers. Workaround: Run the command “stsadm -o copyappbincontent” in the SharePoint Management Shell while in admin mode to deploy the missing content.
•    Creating a truncate formula containing a single argument [e.g. ‘TRUNC(Number)’] displays a ‘missing or invalid parameter’ error. The optional parameter (TRUNC(Number, Num_digits) is needed to return the truncated value.

HW31 Virtual Map View Web Part for SharePoint 2016 Release 2.0.8.2016 (File version 20.0.8.2016)

HW37 Data-Viewer Web Part for SharePoint 2010 Release 3.7.89 (File version 30.7.89) and SharePoint 2013 Release 3.7.89.2013 (File version 30.7.89.2013)

Bug Fixes:

• The Data-Viewer web part displays an error when connected to a List Rollup data source using SharePoint Aggregation Services with recurrence defined.
