This year Bamboo Solutions began providing customers with quarterly cumulative updates (CU) to ensure their products have the latest fixes and upgrades. Quarterly releases allow us to respond quickly to customer feedback and push out any hotfixes in a timely manner. As part of this renewed focus on quality assurance, we have also implemented a new testing process.
Each quarter, our development team prioritizes a set of products to include in that CU. Each product in the queue is put through a time-intensive testing process to ensure the product functions as expected. This testing process includes deployment in testing environments for Office 2010, 2013, 2016, and Office 365. No product moves forward until it has passed the testing criteria.
If there is a point of failure, our testing team follows a stringent process. First, the testing team creates a bug. That bug is sent to the development team to be corrected. Once the development team corrects the bug, the product is sent back to testing and the process begins again. No product is released into the CU until it has passed the stringent testing criteria.
We are excited about this renewed focus on product quality assurance and the impact it will have on our customer experience. Combined with the release of our new customer ticketing system, the announcement of our bridge to the cloud, and the roll-out of our SPX Services offering, 2017 has been an exciting year at Bamboo Solutions!
