Editor’s note: Longtime readers may recall our “New Faces” series, in which we would introduce our new hires to Bamboo Nation. Shamefully, my count, there are nearly 20 “new” faces at Bamboo since the series last appeared (in the spring of 2011!). In other words, we’re long overdue to make some introductions, so let’s not delay any longer, and continue making up for lost time…
When did you join the Bamboo Solutions team, and what is your role?

What are your personal goals regarding your position for the remainder of 2013?
My personal goal as a Sales Manager is to increase sales turnover for the territory I will be in charge of, and to promote Bamboo Solutions’ products in any possible way. (Though I don’t know yet which exact region I will be assigned to, and the phone number is also not defined for our EU sales office at the moment.)
What’s your professional background?
For the last 5 years, I have been working as an Import Manager for a company that deals with selling luxury-brand worldwide famous furniture.
What prompted you to join the Bamboo team?
I have always wanted to work for a company that deals with software development or that is in general involved in the IT-sphere. Moreover, I was very excited about the team spirit established within Bamboo Solutions. It is a pleasure to feel like you are a part of a team while working in a professional setting.
What were some of your first impressions of working at Bamboo?
I was very impressed the people already working for Bamboo. The employees at Bamboo are friendly and always ready to help you with anything you may need. Along with that, the employees are certified and very qualified for their professional positions, creating a very knowledgeable atmosphere in which everyone has a passion for their job, and contributes as much as they possibly can! It’s truly fantastic.
With over 70 products to learn, do you feel overwhelmed? What’s your strategy for getting up to speed?
Bamboo’s product range is really astonishing. The information flow is quite huge, so trying to remember and memorize every detail is not the means to make headway for me. For me, the key in succeeding and learning about all Bamboo’s products is to distinguish the particular information concerning sales activity that will be beneficial in increasing and improving sales in general.
Other than your deep and abiding love of extending SharePoint, what interests or hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?
I like sports a lot. I love Formula 1 (I’m a fan of Ferrari) and football. Also, I like reading, which is now much more available to me after buying my Kindle e-reader.
