New Faces of Bamboo: Introducing Hannah O’Donnell

Editor’s note:  There have been several new additions to the Bamboo team since our last “New Faces” series, so it’s time once again to introduce the new folks to Bamboo Nation. Next up is Hannah O’Donnell, Account Manager…

When did you join the Bamboo Solutions team, and what is your role?

I joined the Bamboo Solutions team at the beginning of December. I am an Account Manager in the Sales Department, which means I will be determining customers’ needs and helping them to identify the best solution for their organization. You can contact me at 703.964.2002 EXT 2128 or email me at hannah.odonnell@bamboosolutions.com

What are your personal goals regarding your position for the next year?

My goal for 2014 is to learn something new every day about the 70 different products we offer and, in addition to that, to meet (if not exceed!) my sales goals.

What’s your professional background?

I attended Salisbury University with a major in Communications and a minor in Marketing. I also attended multiple Sales Competitions at the collegiate level. I have over two years of B2B software sales experience including assisting new business and existing customers. I believe I will be able to use my experience from both platforms to help exceed Bamboo’s 2014 sales goals.

What were some of your first impressions of working at Bamboo?

It excites me to have access to over 70 different product options that can help customers build a solution that best suits their needs. I am really driven by how truly passionate our customers are about our products and the different services we offer. Bamboo practices a great work/life balance and they do multiple things in the office to keep it fun and exciting! They also have a great group of employees who really work together to achieve a common goal for the customer as well as the overall business. I am very excited to be working with everyone here.

With over 70 products to learn, do you feel overwhelmed? What’s your strategy for getting up to speed?

My strategy for learning the product information has been to both listen to other customer interactions with our sales representatives as well as to study our Bamboo website. There’s definitely a wealth of great information that is packed into the website. I plan on listening and gathering as much information as possible from customer interactions to see what they are specifically looking to do and how that translates to our products.

Other than your deep and abiding love of extending SharePoint, what interests or hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?

I really enjoy baking and cooking! Pinterest has been my go-to website recently and has inspired me to try a new recipe once a week. I also really enjoy traveling and going to new places.
