I'm very excited to come to work each day here at Bamboo because this job marks the first time I've had my own office. There are other reasons I like my job too, of course—the thought of unlimited Dr Pepper comes to mind—but having my own office is pretty awesome. One of the very first things that I did after moving in to the office was bring in wall art, pictures of my family and friends, and my beloved Dwight Schrute bobblehead.
We all like to put our own mark on things, so on that same note, while you might agree with me that the default templates provided in PM Central are quite attractive, you may wish to customize them by adding your own organization's logo or other images. And you're right; you can change the logos and graphics that appear in PM Central's portfolio and project sites, and it's very easy to do.
In this example, I'm going to change the logo on the portfolio site.
1. To upload the new logo image, navigate to your portfolio site and select Settings > Lists > Picture Libraries > Pics.
2. From the Pics folder, click Upload and upload your new logo image. It must have the same file name as the logo you are replacing (for example, logoSA12.png). Make sure Overwrite existing files is selected, then click OK.
A message indicates that the image uploaded successfully.
3. Navigate back to the portfolio site. The new logo image is now displayed. (Please don't laugh at my pathetic efforts in Paint. I'm a writer, not an artist!)
Easy, right? You can change the logo on your project sites by repeating these steps. You can also replace other graphics that appear on your portfolio and project sites. Just make sure that the new file name is the same as the old one you are replacing.
