Prefer to view the contents of your SharePoint document libraries in a browser window? With the Open with Explorer option for SharePoint, you can do just that. In the Document Library List, Microsoft has added the feature which allows you to browse the content of a document library and manage folders and files in Windows Explorer. In this article, I will introduce you to the Open with Explorer feature.
Open a Document Library in Windows Explorer:
In the Document Library, select the DOCUMENT tab on the Ribbon, and click Open with Explorer:
This will open the Document Library in a Windows Explorer browser window:
Using a Document Library in Windows Explorer:
After opening the Document Library in Windows Explorer, we can drag and drop files to the library, as well as add and/or remove folders from the library, all in Windows.
