Giving back is part of the Bamboo Way and last month our team members had the opportunity to give back in a very concrete way. Thirty of our team members and their families participated in the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Food Fight 2018 event on Friday, May 4th at the Dulles Expo Center just outside of Washington, DC.
For a small three-hour commitment, it was amazing how concrete our contribution was.
- Bamboo Solutions was a Silver Sponsor and our financial contribution went toward purchasing the food that will feed over 25 children for a year.
- Our food fight team members physically packed 103,464 meals in two hours which will feed 283 children for a year.
- Over the course of the whole weekend, FMSC packed a total of 3,034,584 meals which will feed 8,313 kids for an entire year!
