Regardless of
where you are in the world, or what language you speak, Bamboo's Community Central is your go-to
resource for internal or external communities, training or networking with
peers and industry experts, or as a secure and searchable repository for
enterprise knowledge.
The latest
release of Community Central offers a host of new features and
customization options. One of the new features included are site
templates for different languages including German, Russian, and Arabic.
In this post, we'll
show you how to use Community Central in SharePoint 2013 with German Language
Pack.
How to install the German Language
Pack
To begin, you must first have Community Central for SharePoint 2013 installed. For more information on installing Community
Central, please refer to our online documentation, Community Central for SharePoint 2013 Installation.
Next, go to the Community Central Setup
Program. Under Optional
Items, select German Language Pack and click
the Install
button.
Once the installation has successfully completed, click the Close button.
How to Create
a Home Site
From the Site Contents page,
select New Subsite.
In the section Template
Selection, select German language.
In the Community Central
tab, select Community Central Home Site
template.
Click Create.
You will now have a new Community
Central Home Site in the German language.
How to Create
a Forum Site:
From the Community Central Home
Site, go to Settings and select Community Central Control Panel.
In the section Forum Site
Management, click on Create forum
site.
On the Create Forum Site
page, input the Title and Description for your Forum. Click Erstellen.
You will now have a new Community
Central Forum Site in the German language.
How to Create
a Forum:
From the Forum Site, go to Settings and select Forum Control Panel.
In the section Forum Site
Management, click on Create a new
forum in this forum site.
On the Create Forum page,
input the Title and Description for your Forum. Click the Erstellen button.
In the Forum,
you can create threads and replies as shown below:
How to Create
a Blog Site:
From the Community Central Home
Site, go to Settings and select Community Central Control Panel.
In the section Blog Site
Management, click on Create blog
site.
In the Create Blog Site
page, input the Title and Description for your blog. Click Erstellen.
You will now have a new Community
Central Blog Site in the German language.
How to Create
a Blog Post:
In the Blog Tools Web Part, click
on the first hyperlink button to create a Beitrag erstellen .
After creating your blog posts, go to your blog site
to see your different posts live.
How to Create
a Comment in a Blog Post:
To begin, click on a blog post. In
the Comments section, input your
desired text into the Subject and Comment text boxes. Click Submit Comment.
After entering your comments, go to your blog post to
see your different comments live.
