Bamboo to Present ‘Process Automation Options for SharePoint’ at Best Practices Conference

Best Practices ConferenceEveryone here at Bamboo is excited about our recent release of Bamboo Workflow Conductor, which is a really easy to use and affordable solution for everyone out there (myself included) who is just way too intimidated by workflows to actually create and use them.  We've already seen an overwhelmingly positive response to Conductor and are excited to be able to have the opportunity to show it off at next week's Best Practices Conference right here in Reston, VA.  Jeff Tubb, Product Manager for Conductor, will be leading the session on "Process Automation Options for SharePoint" on Wednesday, August 25 at 4:15pm in Reston Suite A.  Please be sure to join us, as it's going to be a great session with tons of useful information on how to best implement workflows in your organization.  Even better news: we'll be giving away a free copy of Workflow Conductor at the end of the session (value: $4,500) to one lucky attendee!

What follows is the abstract of the session, and for more details on the Conference, please visit the Best Practices site at http://www.bestpracticesconference.com/.

All organizations are made up of people, processes, and data. SharePoint has proven itself a great tool for collaboration, allowing users to easily share and interact with data, but what about using it to automate business processes? Process automation can mean cost savings, increased accountability, better tracking, decreased failure rates, and increased speed, but only if deployed correctly. So, what are your options if you want to use workflows in SharePoint, and how do you pick the right workflow tool to meet your needs? Come find out what SharePoint offers out-of-the-box, and how it differs from what you get with SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and third-party tools. In this session, we'll discuss:

  • How workflows can save (or cost) you time/money
  • Benefits and drawbacks of out-of-the-box SharePoint workflows, SharePoint Designer, and Visual Studio
  • When third-party solutions make sense
  • How to choose the right workflow tool for your business needs
  • High level overview of Bamboo's Workflow Conductor

Bamboo Solutions is a leading provider of Web Parts and add-ons for Microsoft SharePoint, and has recently entered the workflow market with its new Workflow Conductor product, which allows for the creation and management of custom workflows in SharePoint.
