When I arrived in Denver yesterday, I was immediately concerned. I was sure my plane had taken a wrong turn and dropped me off in Seattle as it was gray and rainy here in the Mile High City. But it has become quite apparent a little bad weather will not slow down the SharePoint Community from attending SharePoint Fest.
As soon as I arrived, I had to check out the 1Up Arcade Coors Field. For any SharePoint users who are fans of vintage arcade games, this is the holy grail with over 40 vintage arcade and pinball games! Let’s just say if you do stop , don’t even bother trying to beat the new high score on Ms. Pac-Man…set, of course, me!
I got to the Colorado Convention Center bright and early at 6AM. Although this is dangerously early, all of the SharePoint vendors were awake and setting up and 8 o’clock streams and streams of people were entering the convention center. I have only been talking to people for an hour, and all of my Bamboo T-shirts are gone! Never fear, I still have plenty of Bamboo pens to pass around, but come quick as I understand the bar for cocktail hour will be right next to our booth so I am expecting a lot of traffic! I am still trying to convince my boss to let me set up a blender so I can make some Green Bamboo Solutions drinks.
I really enjoy these events because I like introducing Bamboo Solutions to SharePoint users who may not have heard of Bamboo, or haven’t had a chance to use one our many products. So far this event is letting me down in that regard though, because everyone that comes up tells me how much they love our solutions. Well, the keynote just let out so the swarms of people are massing! If you have the time, please stop and say hello!
