Bamboo recently renewed its membership in the Microsoft Partner Program and has earned the highest level of achievement possible in the areas of Content Management, Portals and Collaboration, and Independent Software Vendor (ISV). Microsoft established new requirements for partners last year – making it much more difficult for partners to earn a Gold-level competency. Bamboo is extremely proud to have been able to earn three separate Gold distinctions. Only 1% of Microsoft partners worldwide are recognized with the Gold ISV Competency, and Bamboo was able to earn that distinction as well as two additional competencies in Content Management and Portals and Collaboration.
The Microsoft Partner program isn’t built on handshakes and schmoozing. To earn a Gold competency, an organization must complete a rigorous set of testing requirements and, in the case of the ISV Competency, even put their products through Windows platform testing to prove their technology expertise. Partners are also required to have numerous customers validate their track record of providing solutions specific to each competency they wish to earn. We are fortunate to have dozens of terrific customers that were willing to take the time to respond to surveys and provide the references that enabled us to meet the Microsoft Partner requirements. By standing behind Bamboo and enabling us to renew our participation in the Microsoft Partner program, we will be able to continue to stay abreast of technology trends and continue to provide great products for our customers.
The best way to summarize is probably to relay a quote from Bamboo COO Lam Le that will be published in a forthcoming press release: “We [Bamboo] provide customers a broad range of products and services that help them to better leverage Microsoft SharePoint within their organization. Our Gold Independent Software Vendor, Content Management, and Portals and Collaboration Competencies differentiate us from the competition and further demonstrate our position as market leaders. We look forward to continuing to utilize the benefits of a close working relationship with Microsoft to focus on helping our customers respond to today’s business needs.”
Special thanks to all of our customers, and especially to those who worked on our behalf to help us to attain this honor. We’ll keep working hard to bring additional value to your SharePoint deployment.
