Announcing Send Message for SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2010

At its heart, SharePoint is a collaboration platform, but there are times when it limits how users can collaborate. It should be easier to discuss the information stored in content while easily referencing that same content. Bamboo has released the new Send Message feature for SharePoint to simplify the process. With Send Message enabled, users can quickly send email messages to other users directly from an item in a List or Library with a link back to that item, all from their browser.

Send Message offers flexibility to both designers and administrators letting them decide who gets messages, and who sends them. Designers can choose to prepopulate the “To” address using any combination of user or group fields in a list. Want to send feedback to an item’s creator or the last person that modified it? No problem. Just point to that field in the list, and the email will be addressed to them. Administrators can even define the email address from which the email is sent. Use SharePoint defaults, use a custom email address, or just have the email come from the user triggering it. You can even let users of a specific site decide the “From” address on a per-email basis.

Send Message integrates seamlessly with SharePoint, and can be accessed through list ribbons, context menus, and even using a special customizable column for single-click access. Try Send Message now to see how much easier communication and sharing can be. To find out more about Send Message, visit us at bamboosolutions.com.
