The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a framework required for all Department of Defense (DOD) contractors. The CMMC framework combines many existing cybersecurity standards into one comprehensive framework. It typically includes five maturity levels, ranging from “basic cyber hygiene” to “advanced/progressive,” that contractors must meet to do business with the DoD.
