This Week in Bamboo (August 17th, 2014

This week in Bamboo, Community Central Release 1.5 for SharePoint 2010 was released to the storefront this week along with patches of Lookup Selector Column, Group Email Web Part, List Rollup Web Part, Calendar Plus Web Part, and Discussion Board Plus. Please see below for a complete list of this week’s releases.

SA15 Community Central for SharePoint 2010 Release 1.5

New Features:

Updated licensing to remove the limitation on the number of forums allowed per site collection.
Option to mark single or multiple posts as verified answers.
Ability to move topics between Discussion Board Plus lists, with an email alert sent to the topic’s participants when moved.
Ability to create private topics, private replies, and share topics with specific users.
Option to like/unlike a topic or reply with a display of the number and names of users that have liked a post.
Ability to place tags on a topic to be used for filtering and search purposes.
Pagination function that allows forum navigation via page number buttons. A number of topics or posts per page is defined in the list settings.
Ability to navigate to the next topic or previous topic once a topic has been selected.
Option to reply with or without attaching the original quoted content.
Option to display the message container on the right or bottom of the user information icon in the Flat and Thread views.
Ability to sort or filter dynamically from the Forum View interface.

New Known Issues:

When accessing a Community Central site from a subsite with unique permissions using an anonymous account, the blog page displays “Access denied. You do not have…” under “Blog Link.”
Workaround: Log in with a full control account and refresh the page.
When accessing a Community Central site from a subsite with unique permissions using an anonymous account, the Blog Home and Forum Home display “Access denied. You do not have…” under “Blog Sites” and “Forum Sites,” respectively.

HW41AB Lookup Selector Column for SharePoint 2010 Release 2.3.116

Bug Fixes:

Lookup Selector Column does not show the lookup value in SharePoint Designer forms that is set as “default”.
When the source list has >4999 items, the lookup column displays “The attempted operation is prohibited because it exceeds the list view threshold enforced by the administrator” when attempting to add a new item.
