On Saturday, January 22, the first-ever SharePoint Saturday Vietnam will take place at the Alov Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Given that our Technology Center is located in Ho Chi Minh City, it should come as no surprise that Bamboo will be well-represented at the event, both on the speaker list as well as among attendees.
Providing the keynote for the event will be Hai Thanh Le, Director of Developers & Platform Evangelism, Microsoft Vietnam. Following the keynote, Michael Noel will be kicking off the day’s sessions with a presentation on “SharePoint 2010’s Virtual Reality: Best Practice Guidance for Deploying Virtual SharePoint Farms.” (Note: Michael will return to Ho Chi Minh City in March to present an entirely different session at the Sharing the Point tour stop.) Next up will be Bamboo’s own Binh Thanh Nguyen, presenting an “Introduction to Claims-based Authentication in SharePoint 2010.” Hoang-Nhut Nguyen’s “Lotus Notes to SharePoint Migration” will be next, followed Bamboo’s second appearance among the speaker list with Hai Tuan Nguyen’s session, “All About the Ribbon in SharePoint 2010.” The final session of the day, “Client-side Programming with SharePoint 2010,” will be presented Trung Van Pham.
In addition to the two sessions being presented Bamboo staffers at the event, around 30 additional Bamboo staffers will be in attendance to mark the historic debut of SharePoint Saturday Vietnam.
Please note that general registration for the free event has sold out, but those interested in attending may wish to show up at the Alov Center on the morning of the event, as space may become available due to the potential for no-shows among registered attendees.
Correction: Unfotunately, though he will be appearing at SharePoint Saturday Vietnam, and will be speaking at two of the three Sharing the Point Asian Tour dates, Michael Noel will be unable to attend the Ho Chi Minh City event on the Sharing the Point tour.
