Bamboo® Solutions, the leading provider of technologies that enhance Microsoft® SharePoint®, announced today the appointment of Michael Schwien to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Leveraging over 20 years of experience across a broad base of finance and accounting, business integration, and operations, Mr. Schwien joins Bamboo with a shared passion for customers, technology, and for the software business in general.

Prior to Bamboo, Mr. Schwien was Vice President of Finance for Overwatch Systems, Inc. (acquired by Textron, Inc.) where he lead the successful integration of several acquired companies providing geospatial software and services to government and commercial customers.  Michael has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at privately held VitalSpring Technologies, Inc. a provider of healthcare business intelligence products, and at VCampus Corporation a NASDAQ listed e-learning company.  He has also held numerous accounting and business operations positions at BDM Technologies, Inc. (acquired by TRW), ICF Kaiser International, and Deloitte & Touche.  Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Administration from the University of Colorado and is a Certified Public Accountant.
