“Hoi” from the Microsoft SharePoint Connections 2010 conference in Amsterdam, NL. Bamboo has crossed the pond once again to attend yet another spectacular SharePoint conference. Actually, Jonas and I are the only ones that had to travel, as we were met by our newest Bamboo employee in Europe, Gina Kyriakopoulou (or Gina K, as we’ve taken to referring to her). Bamboo is expanding our European presence and has hired Gina, an Amsterdam local, as our European Account Manager, and we are building a team around her to better assist and support our customers in Europe.
This is my second time working the Bamboo booth in the exhibit hall at a conference outside the U.S., and again, I am absolutely amazed at the popularity of our products and the positive feedback we have been getting from so many customers. We have been visited by Swiss, Swedish, Danish, Austrian, English, and many other nationalities in Europe, and not only has just about everyone already heard of us, but most are also already using our products. One gentleman actually walked up and said, “First, I would like to thank Bamboo for making SharePoint possible.” Jonas, Gina, and I were all very excited to hear such praise for our company.
While not having had a chance to attend any of the conference breakout sessions personally, I have heard from many attendees that they are finding them very informative and everyone seems to be very pleased with the level of expertise of the presenters and the material being presented. We’ve had an excellent showing at our booth so far, and feel very positive about the people we’ve spoken with and the contacts that have been made.
“Doei” from Amsterdam.
