Bamboo expands Microsoft SharePoint product offerings to include Office 365/SharePoint Online apps.
Bamboo Solutions, the leading provider of solutions for Microsoft® SharePoint®, announced today the expansion of its product offerings from exclusively on-premises SharePoint extensions to include the introduction of apps for Office 365/SharePoint Online. The entrance into this new market reflects Bamboo’s long-term growth strategy and commitment to providing cutting-edge technology to extend the native capabilities of SharePoint. Two new SharePoint apps are available from the Microsoft Office Store, and additional releases are currently undergoing quality assurance testing.
The release of the new apps coincides with Bamboo’s sponsorship of the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2014. At the conference, visitors to the Bamboo booth (#303) in the exhibit hall will be able to explore SharePoint’s versatility through an exclusive firsthand look at several of the new apps and will have the ability to evaluate the apps’ performance and capabilities. Additionally, conference attendees will be provided with demonstrations of Bamboo’s portfolio of industry-leading applications, components, and suites upon request.
“We are excited to be attending Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2014 and are thrilled by the opportunity to share our new apps with the SharePoint community,” says Anders Johnsson, Bamboo Solutions Chairman of the Board. “Bamboo was among a handful of partners that Microsoft invited to develop apps for the SharePoint Store, and it was a request that we were only too happy to fulfill. We believe strongly in the importance of SharePoint as a collaborative platform and look forward to being a driving force in the future of SharePoint technology and development. With the rising significance of SharePoint Online, we are eager to continue to apply world-class innovation to help our customers build and extract value from the ever-evolving platform.”
Currently available from the Microsoft Office Store, Bamboo’s app offerings include Bamboo Quick Add for Lists, an app that allows users to quickly create and add multiple items to a tasks list all at once and in real-time, and World Clock and Weather, a free app that allows users to display current weather, forecast, and time for cities around the globe. These two apps are just the first of many planned app releases. As the growth of the Office 365/SharePoint Online platforms continues to accelerate, so too will Bamboo’s commitment to developing apps that extend the platform. In addition to providing SharePoint apps, Bamboo offers a portfolio including over 70 powerful products to extend your SharePoint environment, as well as a full complement of services covering installation, configuration, training, and support to ensure that the overall design, deployment, and end-user adoption of your solution is successful.
