With Bamboo’s User Profile Sync, you have the ability to schedule automatic updates between a number of different sources, including: Contact List and Active Directory (AD); Contact List and SharePoint Site Collection Profile; SharePoint Site Collection Profile and AD; and SharePoint Site Collection Profile with another SharePoint Site Collection Profile.  In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of running schedule tasks using User Profile Sync.

After you have successfully completed your User Profile Sync, click the Save Template button and Save to back-up the processed information:

Next, open the Task Scheduler program:

Create a new Task:

In the Create Task form, input the Task Name and check the Run with highest privileges check-box as pictured below:

In the New Trigger tab, select the start time for your new task:

Next, in the New Action tab, input the following:

• In the Program/script session, point to the .exe file “C:Program FilesBamboo Solutions CorporationBamboo User Profile Sync (x64)Bamboo.SPProfileADSync.exe”
• In the Add arguments session, input the URL that points to the template file .xml. In this example, we’ll be using the following: /s /t “C:Program FilesBamboo Solutions CorporationBamboo User Profile Sync (x64)AD to SP Users.xml”

Click OK and wait for User Profile Sync to run the selected time:
