To begin configuring the Web Part, go to Modify in the tool pane.

In Select a Zone, choose Default.

Please note for the Just show confirmation message checkbox on the Zone Configuration screen:

  • If you check this box, the Web Part will only display a confirmation message after your password has been reset successfully. An additional textbox will NOT be displayed.
  • If you do not check this box, the Web Part will display both a confirmation message as well as textboxes after your password has been reset successfully.

Under Choose to use e-mail address or use security questions to reset password, there are two options available from which to select:

  • Use security questions
  • Use e-mail address

Reset password using security questions:

4. If needed, select the password policy for the account:

5. In User Helper Text, input the text that you would like to display under the User Name textbox in the Web Part:

6. There will be two radio buttons from which to choose:

  • Exclude Users: In this option, you will need to input the users whom you wish to exclude from resetting passwords.
  • Exclude AD Groups: In this option, you will need to input the AD groups you wish to exclude from resetting passwords.

7. In Security Questions, input three security questions and three AD Custom field names for their answers:

8. Check Apply and OK in the tool pane. The Password Reset Web Part will look as pictured below:

9. Next, input user information into all applicable textboxes and click Submit.
