How to Insert a Web Page onto a Site Using the Page Viewer Web Part for SharePoint 2013

Now available in SharePoint 2013, the Page Viewer Web Part was first developed for SharePoint 2010 as a means to display a Web page on another Web page. The “page within a page” is displayed using an iFrame.  In this article, we’ll show you how to add the Page Viewer Web Part to your SharePoint site, as well as how to use it to add a Web page to your site.

Insert Web Part to SharePoint site:

  • On the Edit Page, select the Insert Web Part tab. From there, select Media and Content from Categories, and then Page Viewer from the Parts list:

  • Upon completing the steps above, you should see the following:

    Configure the Tool Pane to display a Web page:

    • Go to Edit Web Part to open the Tool Pane and input the Web address of the site you wish to display on your site into the textbox on the Page Viewer:

    • Click to Apply and OK to finish inserting the Web page:

      Change the display size of the site in Page Viewer:

      • One of the nice features of the Page Viewer Web Part is the ability to change the display size of the site in the Page Viewer. To accomplish this, simply navigate to the Web Part’s Tool Pane. Under Appearance, specify a fixed height and width, as required, for the site which you will be displaying:
