Greetings again from London!  The final day of the show is underway though the sun has gone away, it’s not raining so we can’t complain.  Unlike a lot of events I’ve attended, the booth traffic has been pretty steady throughout the entire week which while it keeps us busy (and tired at night) it’s certainly making it interesting.  Our only gripes?  Limited food rations and coffee availability.  The secret to a sucessful tradeshow?  Lots of food and caffeine!  Good sessions of course help as well, which is something that is not short in supply here thankfully.

Today we had Paul Turner stop our booth who recently had a very well received and attended session on Cloud Computing and Office 365 that John blogged about yesterday.  He had of course heard about John’s excellent coverage of his session and wanted to say hi.  John unfortunately was in a dark room (or near pub?) blogging somewhere but Wes and I were happy to entertain him.  New to the whole “social networking” scene, we of course showed him our Community Site with all of our Best Practices and event coverage.  We discussed the challenges of moving into BPOS and some of the issues that customers are running into.  Moving to Office 365 and the cloud seems to be on everyone’s mind here and there have been a variety of sessions covering it from every angle.

Personally this show has been a huge success for me not only because I’ve been able to meet customers from all over Europe, talk with great SharePoint speakers, but also because I’ve been able to spend time with my amazing EU team which has recently doubled (when I say doubled I mean from 1 to 2, but hey – we’re getting there!) and now includes Miriam Maggi (to learn more about about Miriam you can read the latest installment of New Faces of Bamboo).

Coming to a show like this where you meet so many people enthusiastically embracing SharePoint, you cannot help but be excited ahead for our opportunity here in Europe. 

Ok back to booth duty – sessions are letting out and the people need Bamboo!
